Organised media hit job on The North Pole? - 16/06/2020

 

Yesterday, Out of curiosity we messaged a journalist who we will not name who followed HM King Reuben I on twitter. We messaged him to find out if he had any reason to follow him, considering its not everyday a journalist follows a micronational leader. As it turns out the journalist wanted to research the relation between the so called "CHAZ" and 'Other Micronations' and if we could explain quote "Could you explain the Kingdom of the North Pole's hostility toward CHAZ?" . We obliged in telling him the following,

 

We wouldn't call it a hostility so to speak, More of a general dislike. People are associating the so called "CHAZ" with micronationalism, Which in my opinion is not what micronationalism is about. Other micronationalist may have differing opinions and I certainly do not speak for them all, But from what I have seen many others hold a similar opinion to mine.

 

He then asked "In what way is it not what micronationalism is about?" to which we said "In my opinion, The way they have gone about vandalising public and private property is despicable, It's not the image that most micronations of good standing are willing to get behind. And the fact that they are neither here nor there on their stance of independence, while some outlets of media are claiming otherwise. But as I say this is only my opinion and what has been communicated between myself and other micronations."

 

 

We will not be disclosing all the conversation for times sake, But we will host the transcript here.

 

He then proceeded to ask us if we recognised any nation who's land is already owned by another nation, Which obviously we do not, It is in direct contradiction to our diplomacy policy.

 

Further into the conversation he asked us to provide the email we received from the so called "CHAZ" which we did. This is when it took a turn for the worse. Apparently in the eyes of the journalist the screenshot we posted to twitter which had the email scribbled out was not what we sent him. How anyone can discern a few pixels, and I mean literally 2-3 pixels as a false e-mail address if beyond me. It then broke down into a long discussion about how we could possibly be duping this journalist by being behind the email account to which is audibly scoffed at.

 

We have no reason to cause unrest by claiming to be anyone who we are not. The email we received from the so called "CHAZ" which detailed us a racist with zero context is absolutely wrong. We have always championed equality in the north pole, We will not be discriminated against by far left media.

 

This has the makings of a media hit job against, not only The North Pole, But the King himself.

 

The reporter then tried to say that we had made the website ourselves, claiming a screenshot on a www.capitolhillaz.com said please contact us.. The webmaster! So we quickly took a look at said website to be greeted with this (Which we obviously archived!). Now the website can flat out not be reached, So we are unsure as to who was behind it, The CHAZ themselves? The reporter looking for a quick story? Who knows. All that we know is we will not tolerate SLANDER.

 

I suggest reading a site that we maintain which details how screenshots can be manipulated here. This is exactly the reason we archived said website as soon as we saw the fraudulent claim.

 

We will not be conducting any more media related pieces with external sources for the foreseeable.

 

Update, We tried to reach out to the so called journalist below, however we are yet to recieve a reply. We have read said article and are appaled at how he has protayed our Kingdom, Even if said website originated on '4chan' it does not change the fact that it came from what looked like a CHAZ e-mail address. So he hasn't really exposed anything but himself - Where is the smoking gun we are told about? We have an archive of the website from this time, But lo and behold! He does not. We must also point out that this so called journalist is not welcome in our kingdom and we have declared him Persona Non Grata.
